New Beginnings: A Fresh Start for the Year Ahead

January is a month that often feels like we have to the chance to start afresh. The festive buzz is over, and the quiet of the winter months offers a perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and look forward. For me, it’s a time first of all to look back on the previous year, what worked and what I plan to do differently in the next. It’s also a time of inspiration and creativity—a chance to explore new ideas and turn them into something meaningful. As well as considering what I’d like to achieve this year, professionally and personally, and plotting how I can make it happen.

Whether it’s setting intentions for the year, embarking on a new project, or simply looking at the world with fresh eyes, this is the season to embrace possibility. I’m taking this time to channel my inspiration into creating new designs that will debut at the events I’ll be taking part in throughout the year. 

The quiet beauty of winter is a powerful muse. The soft greys and blues of the sky, the patterns of frost on the landscape, and the rhythmic movement of the sea all spark ideas that evolve into unique jewellery pieces. My focus this season is on exploring textures, forms, and colours that reflect the calm yet transformative nature of this time of year, as well as thinking ahead to one of my favourite seasons, spring.
